Join us for a morning of learning new skills! (cost: None) Your fellow guild members will present four different quilting techniques to add to your skill sets.  While reservations are not required, if you know you are attending, please let us know by emailing: skillbuilders@nlcqg.org soNeckties are colorful and plentiful—and they are a great source of fabric for quilt makers! Nann will show you how to prepare ties for sewing and show examples of necktie projects.

Itajime shibori is a Japanese dyeing technique where fabric is folded, clamped between wooden shapes, and then dyed. It produces unique geometric repeating patterns in the cloth. Al has developed a fast version using fabric paints instead of dye.

There are many ways to present your smaller wall quilts. In this demo you will learn how to wrap a small quilt around a gallery wrapped canvas for an elegant finish.
