Join us for on Wednesday, December 6th, at the Antioch Township Center. Let’s ring in the Holiday Season at the Antioch Township Center on December 6th!
Our December meeting is never one to be missed! Doors will open at 6:00, dinner will be at 6:30, and activities will start at 7:00. Members not participating in the dinner are still welcome to come and enjoy the holiday fun! The party will include a mix of our traditional favorites and some new twists.
Dinner – Optional
Catering will be provided by Ignotz Restaurante and will tentatively consist of:
• House Salad • Vodka Rigatoni • Sausage and Peppers • Italian Beef • Chicken Vesuvio W/ potatoes
If you are interested in our family style dinner, please contact Michael at programs@nlcqg.org. The price per guild member is $20. Checks should be made out to NLCQG. If you are interested in helping populate the sweet table, please contact Joanne at info@nlcqg.org.
Socializing and Playing:
“Fold It – Snip It – Rip It – Drop It – Pass It”
Circular tables of 6 will be set up for dinner and the meeting, and attendees will be ‘assigned’ to a random table. Enjoy dinner and a game with other members you may not know very well yet and start 2024 with some new fabric and some new quilting friends!
Holiday Ornament Exchange – Optional
Make a holiday or winter themed ornament from any pattern or technique and bring it to the party. Ornaments will be displayed on a tree for all to enjoy. Take an old holiday card and cut it into 2 pieces. Attach one card piece to the ornament and place the other piece in a basket. Participants will draw a card from the basket and match it to the ornament they get to take home.
Grab Bag Gift Exchange – Optional
Participants will bring a gift costing around $10 and wrap it in white tissue or regular white wrapping paper. Bring your gift to the party and place it among the others. Numbers will be selected from a basket, and you can select any item on the table when it is your turn.
**NEW** A UFO Raffle **NEW**
Have a UFO you’ve lost interest in? One you know you’ll never finish? Donate it to our first ever UFO raffle! Each attendee will receive five tickets and tables will be set up with ticket bags (similar to rafflemania) next to donated UFOs. Drop a ticket in the bag next to the UFO you’d like to give new life to and take a chance on starting 2024 with a brand-new project! If you see something you’d really like to take home and would like more chances, additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase at 50 cents each, with proceeds going to the Antioch Township Food Pantry.
(So that we have a handle on how many UFO’s we will have to raffle, we ask that you email president@nlcqg.org if you’d like to donate one or more. UFOs should be donated in plastic cases/boxes to keep things together and include instructions if appropriate (we do have some empty boxes available for asking).)
