At the December meeting we will kick off our Challenge Quilt Exchange. This project will start by exchanging half-yard pieces with fellow guild members. More information is attached in the link here and Programs will be introducing this event at the October meeting.
This Christmas we are swapping out the Advent box for a Santa Swap. Swappers will fill a shirt sized gift box with a main swap item, then fill the-rest of the box with handmade and other Christmas goodies. …
Our 2023 Ornament of The Month Christmas tree won third prize at the Kringle’s Christmas Village display in Antioch! From the cash prize won, we will be funding two decorated trees this coming holiday season. More information is available under: Ornament of the Month 2024
Many thanks to everyone in the guild who participated in the 2024 mystery quilt. The plan is to have racks up to display these at our July meeting and be surrounded by quilts as we play bingo and eat ice cream. Plan on bringing your completed quilt (or quilt top) in July and share it with the guild!
Hello quilters! A new activity is starting in June… a Round Robin! For those not familiar with a round robin, each participant makes a center block of their choice. Their block gets passed on and the next person adds a “round”, or border, to the top they are given. The blocks are passed each month until everyone in the round robin has added a border. …

During our zoom meeting months of January and February, our guild will be sponsoring a quilted postcard exchange. It’s not complicated, sign up and you’ll receive an email at the end of December with your January partner. Send your partner a quilted postcard at any time during January and they’ll send you one in return! At the end of January, you’ll receive an email indicating your February partner and you’ll just repeat the process. Easy peasy! New this year, we will issuing the invitation to join in to other guilds so you may find a brand new pen pal! …

Once a week, for 9 weeks this winter, our guild will be releasing clues via email for an intriguing, pieced quilt pattern that is perfect for beginners, but also has enough options to interest the experienced quilter. This year’s finished quilt is designed to be 52” x 52” but there will be instructions included to make it smaller or larger. Sign up starts by emailing mystery@nlcqg.org.
